I have a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with the V6. I am having issues with three items and the check engine light is on:

1. The battery seems to boil when the engine is running. Is this a battery, alternator, regulator or other issue?

2. The engine runs fine and the transmission seems to be fine. I can drive in reverse with no issues. But when I put it in any forward gear, it runs really ruff and dies. It will idle in gear just fine. But any throttle and it dies.

3. I drove it for 50 feet (yes feet) and the power steering went from working fine to needing two grown men and a bad boy to turn the wheel. It was acting like the engine was NOT running but was. The serpintine belt is in place and the fluid level is normal.
