I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemey with 5, 000 miles on it.I noticed that when I drove home yesterday my truck felt like it dropped a gear, lights flashed and then went away. I emideately noticed that my truck would not accelerate very fast. I pulled over and turned my truck off and then restarted it.
I drove off and every thing was back to normal for about 5 min and then it did the same exact thing. Again I pulled over and turned my truck off and then restarted it. Every thing was fine and I drove home. Today ( one day later ) I went out and started my truck for about five minutes to get the heat going. When I went back out to check on it, the truck was not running but my fan and radio were still on. I then tried to start the truck and could not get the engine to respond. There is no clicking or wineing. Everything in the truck will come on but when I turn the key there is nothing but silence. I have checked every fuse in the IPM module and everything looks good. It acts like some kind of security sysyem where you can operate everything but the truck wont turn over at all. I have no security system. I also have a hypertech chip installed and tried to set truck back to stock to see if maybe it was interfereing. The chip will not comunicate with the truck at all. This could also be part of the problem which I would not know how to resolve. Any Ideas????
