i need to know if i can program a new keyless remote myself .i did not get one when i bought from dealer i can one from dealer for 43$ and they want 75$to program it does this suck or what please help if u can thanks john.

1. Press [LOCK] button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize transmitter. Attempt to function transmitter, it working as designed discontinue programming. 2. Turn ignition to the run position (Allow Ignition chimes to stop). 3. Using original transmitter, press and hold the [UNLOCK] button on the transmitter for between 4 and 10 seconds. 4. Continue to hold the [UNLOCK[ button and press the [PANIC] button. A chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered (Allow 3 seconds for chime to sound). 5. Press a button on all transmitters to be programmed into the system including any previously programmed transmitters; a chime will sound when each transmitter has been programmed. 6. Turn the ignition to OFF position to exit the transmitter programming mode.

Dear Sir.. I recently purchased a extra keyless entry remote transmitter for our 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan from the local Dodge dealer. I tried to program the new remote using instructions in the owners manual but it did not work. The Dodge dealer wants to charge $75 dollars to program it. I have the origional transmitter that works, and I would like to program the new transmitter for the wife's key ring. Could you give me the information I need to program the new transmitter..thank you very much....Don

2005 Dodge Durango key less remote entry stopped working.I changed the battery, still no luck. How do I reprogram it?

The new Chrysler key remote combo units and the newer FOBIKS (Fob Integrated Key) must be programmed by a Chrysler dealer or a qualified locksmith with the correct scan tool or diagnostic equipment.

I puchased a used 07 Ram 1500 SXT that is fully loaded but therewas no remote. The dealer did not know if one came with the truck originally. I have power locks so how do I know if I can get a "universal".
