Your problem is in the blend doors of the heater Dodge trucks have a problem with them breaking. they know this but still do not want to do a recall. You can talk with a dealer about it I hope you have better luck then I had. It is an expensive repair because they have to remove the whole entire dash down to the fire wall to replace the blend door, if they wont do it on warranty call crysler and complain maybe if enough of use do this they will change there position. Not being able to defrost your windows is a safety concern best to aproach it this way

My 2002 Dodge Ram has a bad blend door controller and as I can see its shoud be replaced by Dodge as a recall as this is for sure a safety hazard

When my heater is running in my '03 Dodge 1500 pickup, hot air only comes out of the passenger dash vents. Every other vent blows out cold air. When the A/C is running, all vents blow normal. I would have figured that they use the same air ducting and if one worked so should the other.Obviously not. What could be the problem with my heater system?

I have the same problem with the air blender door in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad. Air does not want to come through the floor, but will come through every place else. Getting pretty tired of Dodge not wanting to own up and fix things. Dealers are not better. My dealer even lied about my custom truck done by Southern Comfort Specialty. They told me they were out of business then found out they were not. HMMMMMMM! ! ! ! ! Thinking about buying a Chevy Truck instead.

I am having the same problem with my 2005 dodge 2500 and also have foam pieces coming out of vents....Got a hold of Dodge and said they would fix the problem co-pay....I would have to come up with 150.00 and they would cover the rest....Will they put the same defective part back in only to fail 4-5 years from now? Don't know but some of the blogs I have been reading note that the whole dash needs to be taken out.....A/C evaporator taken out heater core taken out.....I have been driving vehicles for 42 years and have not ever heard of anything like this.......anyone have any spin on this....love the truck.....maybe its the Cummins I like so much....I hope the truck around the engine don't deteriorate......

Recently I heard a pop noise from inside my dash, and now I can't divert air (warm) through the vents. I turn the control knob, but air barely comes out the dash vents. Some comes out he defrost vents when I out the knob on that setting. The blower really is going when i turn up the air knob, just can't control where it goes. It's a 2006 5.7 hemi 1500 Dodge. Help.

03 2500 Cummins, not able to adjust between floor and dash =

Mode door. It is located under the radio. The coupler to the motor is spinning on the shaft of the mode door. anyone familiar

with how the coupler is attached to the door shaft

I have an '04 Ram 2500 with the same venting issue. I recall hearing a pop or rattle and now the heat will only come out at the midlevel vents.

Living in NH this is a real issue during the winter. Should I try a local dealership or should I start my gripe at the national level.

My head is burning up and my feet are freezing. Gotta fix that blend door.

This is a common problem with Dodge trucks. So common a guy posted a video on YouTube showing how to fix it. This is part two, but you can find the other parts there as well.

I can't post URLs in this message, so just go to youtube and search for Dodge Heater Door

Better yet, the full videos showing how to repair the doors on Dodge Ram 2002-2008 are here: heatertreater (dot) net Dodge%20Ram%20Video (dot)html

Also, this is great site explaining how these doors work:

See the section on tech info: heatertreater (dot) net Final%20Tech%20info (dot) htm

Good luck fellow Dodge owners.
