Dodge-1500 Pickup -
engine clatter

My nephew has 97 dodge half-ton 4x4 with 5.9 . The engine clatters while in overdrive (automatic), it doesnt seem to do while in drive. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Check your anti-knock sensor. Also check enging timing. Sounds like it may be retarded too much.
