1999 dodge 1500 will not go into reverse

i just bought the truck and i was aware it would not go into reverse> i am wondering what could be causing this. i drove the truck home and it went good and it shifts in forward gears fine. (it is an automatic transmission)

I just had the same issue with my 98 1500. I got stuck and was rocking the truck to get out, and my reverse quit completely. All forward gears work fine.

Same issue as Keith. Stuck, rocking, now will not go into reverse and wants to go forward when in nuetral. Help. Any ideas?
