Firing order

Did the Hupmobile have a reversed engine firing number system, that is, did they number the straight eight from the back cylinders or the front, drivers view? Or did they have a reversed engine direction? (not likely) It is a 2-4-2 crankshaft as this fits the firing order in reverse. It seems that the crankshaft is not a 4-4 crankshaft.
