97 sebring jxi tach & odometer totally inop, appears to be an BCM-where can I get one as cheap as possible-I believe the BCM holds the cars mileage

I just bought a used 1997 Sebring JX. It is doing the exact same thing! I'm not sure if it help the troubleshooting problem, but on mine the gear indicator and the cruise control also do not work when the Tachometer and Odometer do not display. BUT they will all randomly work once in a while (They all come on at once). I do not think this is a BCM issue, I think it is a simple short or loose connection. However, I do not have a wiring diagram specifically for the dash panel. Can anyone make a connection between these different dash components (wiring wise)?

I had the same problem with my 96...found the solution on the Sebring convertible club web page...remove the instrument cluster and solder a spot between two resisters that are blue and it will solve the problem...it was a very easy fix..e-mail me and I will send you the complete instructions.
