I have 99 tahoe 5.7 Problem; Motor skips after down shifting from passing gear to overdrive. Sometimes just under load. Check engine light comes on and flashes then stays on. I've had this checked 4 times. I've put new plugs, wires, cap, rotor. all ac delco. I also put in a new evap. emishions sensor and new crank sensor. still have the same problem. Chevy tells me it may need a valve job. Has any one had this issue. and is there a solusion for it. I've put quite a bit of money in this truck already. GM told me about 2500 for a valve job and its not guaranteed to fix the problem.
