Transfer case stuck in 4 low. It is not the actuator and I have replaced the control switch already. Any ideas?

I believe Chevy had a service bulletin on this ours did the same thing when new.

They simply had clean and re-land a ground wire on the transmission.

I had that trouble once on my '96, and found that if I drove a few feet in reverse and slammed on the brakes, it would loosen it up and allow it to slip back into 2 wheel drive. Good luck!
