The truck is 4x4 automatic when the eng-1 fuse blows the trany shifts very hard It is not a dead short it blows whenever I need to find out where this fuse goes and where to start looking for the short thanx

Both rear lights on my '97 Silverado are burnt out. How do I trouble-shoot to figure out what is the problem and how to solve it?

2000 Chevy Express. ENG-1 fuse blows and van dies. Will not start until fuse is replaced, with out it blowing again. Intermittant problem, may only blow one. After waiting a while it did not blow another one, for a while.Maybe an hour, maybe a week.

Mine also.It was intermittant but one day it stayed shorted. Then I could finally start looking for the problem. First I disconnected two of the O2 sensors, I was tired of laying under it after that and still had the short. Next I started tracing wires. I started under the hood. On the pass side rear of the engine, one of the pink wires going under the van, was the one shorted. I haven't crawled back under to figure out where it goes. Probably the O2 sensor on the other side. It could be the wire shorting out also. Any way, I have the wire cut now and it does not blow the fuse. I also have at least two 02 sensors un hooked. At least I can drive it now.

blows engine 1fuse comes up came position censer replaced it and crank fuel pump?

Does my 1999 silverado have a fuse for the cd player.I put in cd and a little bit err message appeare.I have changed cd player and radio.Everything still the same.I bought other units from a friend who said they worked fine .THANKS

MY TURN SIGNALS DONT WORK THE LIGHTS BULB ARE OK THE FUSE IS OK TO BUT WEN I PUT THE EMERGENCY HAZARD THE FUSE BURNS WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM

my 1999 silverado 1500 its draining the battery, if i take the fuse tbc off its all right, but whitout this fuse many things dosnt work, like the power looks the dash lighs and some times dont star. I will like to know what things the tbc fuse controls.

All of your replys have nothing to do with the mans question. Except Bryan. Which I agree. I have basically the same problem except its a different fuse. The only way to figure that one out is to trace all your wires in that harness and anything that it connects to. Probably a bare one or broken one inside the wire loom.
