Can anyone answer this question? My 02 Silverado Z71 has a poping noise somewhere in the drivetrain, its noticable when it shift gears. I have 145000 miles on the truck and its been doing this ever since i bought it with 60000 miles. You would think something would break or fall apart by now! Also if you put the truck in nutral you can climb under and grab the drive shaft and twist it back and forth. s this a rear end, transmission or transfer case problem? Other than the poping noise this is the best truck ive ever owned, never any problems! Please Help

I keep getting a message that say service four wheel drive and I have had it serviced at my last oil change but I still get the message. Can anyone tell me how to reset the message?

I have a 2000 silverado 1500 ls shortbox reg cab four wheel drive. I had rear axle whine at 34, 000 mi. took it to dealer said that was normal for truck with granny gears and did not even look at it and that was under warranty. Now i have a whine when i let off the gas at 132, 000 mi.I took it to a local repair shop and they said it was the transfer-case. Then i took it to another repair shop and they said it was the drive-shaft and also i had 4 spline gears broken even though i am still driving it with no apparent problems other than the noise and minor vibrations. I also took it too a third private party repair shop and they replaced a bearing on the rear axle (drivers side)yet i still have the SAME ANNOYING SOUND when i let off the gas pedal. If anyone has had the same problems i would like to hear from you. I thought cv-joints but after all that i am not sure anymore. gm dealer next but don't want to too expensive at this time. help thankyou if you respond. Lee
