Chevrolet-S10 Pickup - S10 ZR2 Brakes Lock Up

All 4 brakes on my 2003 S10 ZR2 will lock up at no particular time or conditions. Driving down the road without using the pedal they will suddenly start to lock up to the point the truck will not move. I will pull the truck off the roadway, after about a 30 minute wait they will be OK. This has happened about 5 times in the last year. Local brake garages and dealears don't know the answer. Has anyone wese had this problem? I need help.

I actually had this same problem on a 1999 4x4 sierra, an auto tech by mistake put what we believe to be windshield washer fluid in the master cylinder. My truck reacted the exact same way, the brakes would gradually apply until the truck wouldn't move. The only fix was to replace the master cylinder and flush out the lines and wheel cylinders with fresh fluid. We didn't see the water until we took off the master cylinder. Maybe yours had the same fate, was the truck serviced just before it started to happen?

I OWNED a 2003 ZR2 S-10 and had the reverse problem! Coming home from one one evening, my brakes completely failed and I rear-ended a cavalier. I am being sued, and need all the help I can get! Any others?

check the master cylinder to brake booster push rod clearance.you might have a problem with the brake booster.
