First off let me ask a few questions.1)when you installed the clutch disk.., did you install the thick part of clutch disk out toward rear of vehicle or towards front of vehicle? (common mistake is to install it wrong - this make impossible to mash - thick always go towards pressure plate)
2) was clutch cylinder ever removed from tranny? (if pusher-pin of slave cylinder is NOT in right spot.., this will cause pedal to be hard)
3) the clutch y-yoke (aka clutch arm) was it snapped into ball on the tranny correctly? or was it left loose ? (if left loose.., when install trans back to motor.., it will fall down causing the pedal to mash one time and then lock up in the upright position and wont budge)
4) clutch MASTER cylinder - check to make sure rod is in correct spot on it.., i have had on rare occasions when trying to bleed system, the rod pop out of master and make you think pedal is full when it isn't or when system disk is worn slam out and customer jammed it to the floor and then snatched it back up causing the rod to pop out of master cylinder)
Hope this helps....
