2000 chevy s-10 heater blows cold air - Chevrolet-S10 Pickup
2000 chevy s-10 heater blows cold airMy heater blows cold air. It does change when I switch it from cold to hot , but still is cold.
changed thermostat , heater hoses are both hot. I have no idea where the heater control valve is or the door that switches from hot to cold. It is a 4 cyl. cannot find diagrams of system anywhere. I am freezing.

Hey, check your coolant. I had the same issue with my s-10 and the problem was that it didn't have enough radiator fluid in it to circulate through the heater intake hose, hence, no heat.
Vaccume line off. Vacc. Valve, under dash.
I have a 2000 s10 blazer and can not get any heat , my coolant is at temp the in hose is hot and the out hose is cold Sometimes l get Luke warm air
I have a 2001 Chevy 1500 4wd and the heater will work on and off. Doesn't work very well when you turn the fan on a higher speed. about 2 sometimes 3 is the highest. It sometimes doesn't work at all. and others it works good. But my temperature gauge cools off and heats up frequently(constantly change in temp.) The coolant is full. the hoses are hot. i'm running out of ideas why this could be doing this.
I have a 2000 s-10 pickup with a 4.3 v6 and the heater will not get hot. I flushed motor and and replaced thermastat and it did not help, any ideas?

can't find thermostat V6 S10 blazer
John I got same problem. one hot hose, one cold. warm air...figure it out? I'm stumped
I have a S 10 pick up that some times wont blow warm heat I was going to replace thermastat but the trucks not over heating my gage for temp some times goes to hot then my check gages light comes on dont know where to start
My brother has a 2000 S-10 that is fluctuating from hot to cold. The heat will be on and engine temp fine, then it runs hotter at about 210 (heat still good), then it cools way down to around 190 and blows cold air. This is an always changing cycle and does this the entire time the truck is driving. I was thinking maybe a stuck open thermostat? Does that sound feasible or waste of time?
I had the same problem with my 01 4x4. The heater core was stopped up. Back flushed the system a couple of times and haven't had a problem since.
A lot of vehicles post 2000 have an issue with the heater core clogging up. This will produce one hot heater core hose and one cold. Hot goes in and won't come out. Flush the system and if that doesn't solve it, replace the core.
