Chevrolet-S10 Pickup - 2000 S-10 Lowered 3" rearend noise

I have lowered my 2000 4.3 auto S-10 by 2.5" dropped spindles in front and 3" lowering blocks in back. I now have a clicking or binding at the rear universal or constant velocity joint. I'm not the first to have lowered a S-10. My question is what has happened to the geometry of the drive line and how do I fix this problem?? Gary

its the drive shaft i its a two piece i suppose the back piece of your driveshaft has a ball point bearing assembly right in between the last two u joints what happens when you lower it the drive shaft angle goes to hell and that bearing chingas loses the grease so theres 3 solutions to that anoying clicking noise lift the back end "its probably to late for that" buy just the back piece of the shaft from the center support bearing to the diff or get a custom shaft if you buy the oem second half of the drive shaft always make sure it has enough grease make sure its the thick stuff to if you have any other questions i can probably answer them since i had the same problem and pretty much went through hell and back before i got it right

im having the same problem but i was told from a friend that it can also be the angle of the rear axle. so would changing the angle of the rear axle be a solution too?

that could solve the porblem, i had that problem after lifting one of my trucks. put some pumpkin shimmys on it to change the angle and saved ALOT of money.

i am having the same problem roght now on my 2000 s10 extreme. i put some weight in the back of the box for the winter and she started vibrating around 2 weeks ago. i took the weight out and it seemed to make less noise. it also looks like the axle was out of angle but it didnt look like it was turned or out of place or anything. does anyone have the angle that the shafts have to be??

i replaced the u joints in my 01 extreme and i found that the ball point bearing peice that ramos was talking about is bad.I dont know if it was sealed before but the ball is exposed and no grease is inside, So we packed it with grease and hoped it would be fine but it is just flopping around when it spins. is there anyway to just buy that peice or do i have to replace the whole shaft?
