The temperature sensor should be on the left side of the motor near the bottom

I have a 96 chevy blazer(4.3 liter)I received code 0306. I changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and 02 sensors as well as the EGR system, and coolant sensors. Still getting code. Ran fuel injector cleaner. No luck. Slight hesitation from dead stop, otherwise it runs good. Also hard to start when engine cold. Thanks for any advice.

this plug is on the driver's side of the engine. it is just below the manifold gasket...screws into the engine block. You will see it if you look straight down looking in leaning over the left side of the hood.
