i have a 1997 4x4 blazer the engine started knocking but not real loud and the oil pressure guage dropped. I parked it immediately and checked oil. The oil was fine so i had it towed to garage. Mechanic said by listening to motor that he thought a bearing had went and it needed new motor . He also that those motors were famous for dumping fuel into motor because of the fuel module going bad and making bearing all without going into motor. i went over and started it next day no noise until i gave it more gas. If it is gas dumping into motor. Could i tell by changing oil and filter and see how it runs then.
