Chevrolet-Chevette - Chevette carburetor

I have a kit car with a chevette engine and what I believe is a Holly 2bbl. carb.Problem. It runs fine when cool and then when warmed up and stopping a stop lights it starves out and dies. After some accelerator pumping and starter turns it starts and runs fine if you pump it few times. Runs good at higher rpms. Question, is it an accelerater pump problem, a fuel pump problem or something else? Thanks for any help given.
