Chevrolet-Cavalier - DEAD BATTERY, LOW VOLTAGE , VOLTAGE
DB (204.13.183.235) - Tue Sep 4 00:13:51 2007
98 cavalier 2.2... batt.light on... lights dimmed and engine died... battery tested ok, but needed to be charged... and supposedly the alternator checked ok... so, tried to jump start it ... left the jumpers connected to both cars once the cavalier started but dash lights died and car engine began to accellerate on its own... earlier i thought the battery terminal was loose a litte, so tightend it (terminal connection is clean as a whistle also) thought that caused the battery to lose the charge.. any ideas?

hmmmm... not at all, i seem to get confused by your cars situation there. However i would suggest that you try visiting a local car shop near your place. I bet there is one. Those experts would know everything. Or if you find your self too lazy going to that shop which is just a few blocks away from your home, then i suggest that you browse the net for answers.

That is the reason why DB joins this forum, to seek for answers and not your lazy suggestion. With that question DB, i think that the best way is to look for answers in the net. Read some useful blogs and sites, there are lots in the net for this kind of topic. You see, i think the best way to learn if you are not experienced is to learn from others experience.

Well Ashley, i have to say that you also had suggested my lazy suggestion, that was funny and ironic isn't it? When you say i suggested lazy i thought you would post something more ideal, and yet you just go for my suggestion, on browsing the net.. That is odd isn't its? Anyway, let us hope that some poster might have posted another suggestion, not like a lazy one right Ashley?

Try checking the voltage of your battery. Maybe you circuit was grounded, have you tried a different freshly charged battery?
