Mines a 1995, 4cyl, 2.2 liter, auto with 120k miles, and has been givin me all sorts of trouble. It seems to be running sluggish. Sometimes when Im accelerating it tends to "chug" and the car kinda shakes a bit. Also when I idle at traffic lights mostly or just turn the car on, the whole car begins shaking and usually doesnt stop til i put it in gear. It also gets stuck in first gear sometimes. Usually when I first turn it on Ill start driving and it will get up to about 20mph when its completely floored and not shift up. I dont know a whole lot about cars, but I checked the spark plugs and the far left one had black (gas) im guessing all over it so I replaced the spark plugs hopin it may do some

good but havent noticed any change yet:( If anyone knows any reason for why I could be having these problems please let me know, Im very tight on money right now so I dont really have a lot of cash to experiment on diff parts. Thanks.

Mine is the same year, exact same problem! It stalled out twice today when stopped at the lights. Does anyone have a reply for this? Thanks in advance.

maybe your 1-2 solaniod in your tranny is faulty, any shop with a scan tool can tell you whats up with it, you might have to pay them for diagnosing it, though.

I recently sold mine, and not for much because of the same problem. I had taken it to a few mechanics, spent toooo much money on it & never did solve the problem.

i have a 95 chevy cavalier 2.2 and the horn just started goin off on its own. i had to cut the power off, i know nothin about cars HELP!!!!!!!!

I have a 1995 chevrolet calavier I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH MY CAR IT HAS ABOUT 235, 000 MILES ON IT WITH VERY LITTLE REPAIR.

i have a chevy calavier and when i start it (holding the gas down, or wont start) once started it putts. but it runs great once it is going down the road...please help..

for the cavaliers that are running sluggish and shaking pushing the gas peddledown to floor and not wanting to go my car wouldnt go over 30m it may be your cadalic converter i have a 1998 and mine was running really bad as well changed many things and this is what it ended up being that part is around $200.00 then whatever your mach charges to put it on.

tail lights in trunk are not working. fuses seem fine but questionable. are there fuses located anywere else for this problem other than fuses inside driverside dashboard?
