S-10 Blazer won't startMy 2000 Chevy S-10 Blazer was running fine and then the other day, wouldn't start. No warning signs. We've ruled out the battery, alternator and the starter. We also changed the ignition module, which didn't help. Any suggestions??!!??

|I have a 98 Chevy blazer! When i first start to take off it bogs down and don't want to go! It sometimes even has a pop sound to it! I have change my fuel pump! My plug and wires! P Lease help!|

wont start replaced oil pressure switch, fule pump relay, still not getting power to fuel pump.Got power from orange wire to relay. Power to the oil pressure switch. NO POWER TO FUEL PUMP.

|Hope this helps some of you, I have a 1996 Blazer 4.3, at first it was running bad when it was cold, then after a good rain it would not start, I replaced the Dist. cap rotary button and checked to see if the plug wires were firing and they were. I found that moisture was causing the bogging down and not running after a hard rain. The FIX is to remove your dist. cap and apply some gasket glue to the bottom of the cap to ensure a good seal. This has fixed all my problems and hope it help some of you.|
|someone tried to still my 2000 chevrolet blazer. Wear I put my key to start is loose so when I turn the key to start it wont start all the way and just cuts off|

|94 Jimmy 4x4 Vortex 4.3 running fine for a long time then one day while i was driving it, it started losing power like it was trying to die, and after i got down the road about a 1/4 mile it did die and has not started since. I checked the plugs, which are fairly new, the wires which are fairly new, the cap and button, which are fairly new, checked the engine codes and all are okay (reading code 12). CHECKED to see if there was fuel pressure in the rail, is fine, checked the fuses all are okay.The fuel pressure regulator has also been changed, fairly new. could anyone help with this issue please! Thanks so much if you have any suggestions!|

Last week when we got hit with mega snow and the temp didnt get above freezing for 5 days- It froze my radiator and resevior (no anti-freeze)!
I thawed them out, and the car wanted to start but the battery was dead! So, I got a new battery, poured the right mixture of anti-freeze and water into the flushed out system and wah-lah! it started.
I let it run for a few so I could watch the temp gauges and make sure they were heating up right and they were. Everything seemed alright until a little while later when I started it up. It was running and then started making a horrible rumbling, knocking noise and shut itself off before I could! I checked oil, plugs, everything I could think of and haven't been able to start it again.
Oil kinda looked a little sludgy.
Since it started and ran, my block shouldnt have been froze, right?
Could it need new freeze plugs?
TODAY: It turns over, starts and then slowly and quietly dies.

|ok first just because you hear pump doesnt mean its working properly, test pressure|
second check for spark at plugs. if no spark check pink wires on coil and module for battery voltage.if no spark see if it registers rpm on cranking using scan tool, if not bad crank sensor or wiring. if reading rpm, pink wires have bat voltage then check for cracked or damaged cap and rotor, and make sure rotor spins with engine cranking over. if all that passes then u have bad coil/module/ or maf sensor.
if you have spark and rpm and no start then check injector pulse, i have seen alot of wiring problems on the ign wire to ecm.
most rough running issues a major tune up will fix, like said earlier cap and rotors you buy at part stores are junk. dont forget your fuel filter.
as far as security problems..if light is on in dash it will shut off fuel pump. to relearn security code put key in ign turn to start just to engage starter and let sit with key on for 10 min, may take up to 3 attempts. if that doesnt work. you have a small yellow and purple wire running down colum.. use a multimeter across key and read resistance most are 8 - 10 ohms. go to radio shack and buy diodes in that range. cut purple wire and tie each end to the diode. that will bypass your security code.

|Hi, I bought a 97 Blazer on a Friday and on Saturday it would not start, just rolls over. If you use gas or fluid it starts right up so.... We changed plugs, wires, rotor, fuel pump, spider web, all injectors and the CPU and still no start. Any ideas??|

|I have a 96 Blazer and it wouldn't start (i couldn't hear the fuel pump kicking on) So i changed the fuel pump, checked all the fuses and changed the fuel pump relay switch but i'm still not getting any power too the fuel pump is there something else i could try too get it too kick on?|

|i have a 96 chevy blazer i bought it about a month ago it was running like crap and i knew i could fix that but before i could it died and then wouldn't start found out the ignition module was bad i replaced that and the fixed the other problem but now it will not start it turns over just won't start i have fire at the plugs.i havechecked everything posable. i dumped gas in it at still nothing. any ideas please help. thank you|
|My friend's chevy blazer is giving her hell. It wont always start for her. She has to get a jump, crank at least 5xs before it starts then let it run for at least 30 minutes if she goes anywheres before killing it so it would start again. Once started, it runs the same, really well. We ruled out the alternator, starter, new battery, ignition switch, spark plugs, dist.cap & wires, computer. I am lost!! Any suggestions or comments?|
|hello i jave a 91 blazer and wow its having the same problems is the rest of you....when you start the car it turns over...so we changed the fuel fliter and replaced the fuel pump....It still doesnt start....if anybody has any suggestions please email me thank you.|

I have or may wife has a 2001 chevy blazer s-10 this started last summer it wouldn't start one morning just cranks then battery goes dead. I charged battery and get it to start. Find that it cranks but dont start every time. If you cycle key on and off it will start. was told it was fuel filter, also fuel pump and fuel press reg. Checked fuel press it is good and stays within spec. If it were fuel filter or fuel pump I would suspect to have no power when pulling hills. have changed battery because it would down if cranked to long but still have problem. Went up camping the other day and it was hot i was pullig trailer with my truck and my wife was in the blazer and it died 4 times. It was 95 degrees outside and it started to act up it would just shut off like you turned the key off. engine didnt get hot. But would just quit. Then it ran to where we were going and ran all the way back 4 days later and i have been driving it and it still dosent start everytime but if cycle key 2 or 3 time it will fire up and run and hasn't quit again yet.

My wife drove it to the store the other night and it ran fine. It was raining some and when she went to start it back up, it started immediately died. The engine cranks over just fine but will not fire. However, it will fire with starting fluid but not on its own.
I replaced the ignition coil, fuel sender unit, and fuel pump. I took off the fuel filter and it was fine. The plugs, plug wires and distributor cap are about a year old. Once in a while when you try to turn the key over, the starter just clicks. Cycling the key to the start position several times, usually does the trick and gets the starter to engage. This may be a seperate issue. But if anyone has any ideals, I'd be glad to here them.
