trailer light trouble

When I plug any trailer into my 2500HD the left light is always on even when the truck is off, both brake lights work, when I turn on the right blinker it works, but when I turn on the left blinker both lights flash, the lights and parking lights work fine and so do the hazards. please help thanks

I had that same problem w/ my 05 2500hd. The trailer plug is very tempermental. Make sure that wires are not touching each other. The 12v hot wire the supplies constant power to the trailer is the problem. If you did not replace the plug replace it. This happens alot on the Big trucks (18 wheelers). Weather is the problem and water and salt does a number on the trailer pigtail if it not protected. Battery termal protecter helps protect it.
